Montezuma Waterfall Hike

Guided by Kate, this hike starts behind Anamaya Resort and ends in the town of Montezuma, while passing 3 amazing falls totaling 150 feet. Experience the famous Montezuma waterfalls while learning about Costa Rican flora and fauna.

The hike will last about 3 hours and is considered an advanced hike with steep and uneven terrain. At times, we will be hiking in the river bed along potentially slippery rocks. Weather permitting.

Curu National Wildlife Refuge

$150 pp

Accompanied by a local guide, visit the serine nature refuge located on the southeastern side of the peninsula. The trails around the refuge are considered mild and easy, mostly on flat ground. We’ll get the opportunity to search for all varieties of wildlife. After our walk, we’ll have lunch on a secluded and calm beach as well as time for swimming. Weather permitting.

  • "The yoga classes were perfect! You seem to know exactly what we needed at the time. Two yoga classes per day was just right. I enjoyed being challenged at times, and I enjoyed the restorative yoga at night. I liked the guided nature hikes very much. It was wonderful to combine yoga with nature. Anamaya Resort was beautiful! Our room was great. Massage and facials excellent. The staff was excellent! Best experience I've ever had with staff. Thanks for a wonderful experience. The waterfall hike was the most challenging hike I have ever done. Afterwards, I thought, 'I can do anything!' Truly amazing."

  • “I enjoy Kates attention to the details of positioning and coming into a position. Kate has the strength of clarity in her speech which makes it easy to follow her instruction. Also, her excitement for nature is contagious! This experience was even more incredible than I had imagined.”

  • “I enjoyed all the yoga classes. You tailored them to our daily needs and to our past days or future experiences. I was afraid they'd be rigorous despite the weather or our fatigue. Loved the restorative classes. I also loved that you allowed us to enjoy the wild life, even if it means a few disruptions to the class. Loved the hikes! You answered many questions and weren't condescending about my lack of experience 'in the wild.' Beautiful resort and Bev and I shared a really nice room. Both the private areas and the public areas were quiet and well kept. Super staff!!! I liked that we had so many opportunities to explore the beauty of this place, but I also appreciated that we didn't have a hike every single day. The amount of down time was perfect. Thank you for this experience y Pura Vida!”

  • “I enjoyed all the yoga classes. I liked that there were common themes linking the morning and evening classes. I enjoyed the nature walk. It was fun to see all the frogs and snakes and such. It was fun the night after to recognize the different noises and be able to picture what animal was making them.”

  • “The classes were great! Just enough and not too hard. Good quality, twice a day was a good and I liked the restorative in the afternoon. It was a good experience and Thank you Kate for all you did for us.”

    Rebecca R.

  • “I thoroughly enjoyed all of the yoga classes offered. Elements I appreciated in the yoga classes included: connection to nature, storytelling, asanas and education/guidance to support balancing the chakras, physical/verbal adjustments, reminders to carry out poses in a way that is comfortable for our individual body. Appreciated all the connections made to nature and animal life which served to highlight the natural beauty of Costa Rica and connect me more deeply to the environment there. I loved the theme of yoga + nature. The theming of all the yoga classes served to highlight the connection very well. The evening jungle walk also strengthened this connection. Kate has a wealth of knowledge and I could have continued listening.”

  • “Classes seemed well planned for the abilities of students. I liked that we had flow in am and restorative in pm which was varied each day. Kate worked really hard to provide a great experience and I enjoyed it.”
